The Sun Labs Perspectives Essay Series

Perspectives is a parallel series to the Sun Microsystems Laboratories Technical Report Series, established in the spring of 1996. The Perspectives series is a collection of essays written by individuals from Sun Labs. These essays express ideas and opinions held by the authors on subjects of a general rather than technical interest. Sun Labs publishes these essays as a courtesy to the authors to share their views with interested friends and colleagues.
