Nicole's Garden

Here are some pictures of my flower beds in full bloom (also see my photographs of individual plants). Of course, the flower beds don't always look like this.

In fact, this tulip bed that I planted with bulbs purchased in Amsterdam after the CHI '93 conference, was completely destroyed by deer.

Fortunately, the critters haven't yet found their way into my center beds which I planted in the spring of 1995.

I spend quite a lot of time thinking about the design of this particular bed. My page on garden design describes the technique that I used during the planning phase.
