|
As computers, sensors, and wireless communication have become smaller, cheaper,
and more sophisticated, wireless transducer platforms have become a focus of research
and commercial interest. This report describes an investigation into such platforms. It
presents a new taxonomy of transducer systems, describes the construction of
prototypes of a new transducer device designed for ease of application development,
and discusses commercialization issues.
